Step 1: Start tracking your finances

Use this spreadsheet if you know how much wage to pay yourself:

Step 2: Learn business basics

Go through steps 1 and 2 on our Step-by-step: Business Principles page.
There, you’ll go through a short course on business basics, and understand more about how money should flow through your business. You’ll also learn more about profit, calculating expenses and other key numbers in your business.

Step 3: Reassess your prices

Use these two workbooks to reassess your prices and then tell your patients about the change with confidence.
Make sure you diarise a time to come back to your pricing structure every 6-12 months.

Step 4: Tick off marketing in your budget

Now you understand the flow of money through your business, have the right prices in place and have a solid tracking system, you can review which marketing methods sit in your budget and make sure you’re implementing them.
